At Range Walk, we bring hope and mobility to U.S. veterans.

My name is Darin, and I created RangeWalk because like many of you, my service impacted my ability and, eventually, my will to get outside and enjoy this beautiful planet.  After 2 3-year enlistments separated by 2 yeas in the ARNG, I left the Army via a Medical Board.  Through the years nothing seemed to help my knee and leg pain so i found ways to cope.  A few years ago my son came to visit and living within driving distance of Washington, DC, my wife and I took him to DC to experience the city’s best parts. Within a few hours I was done – my knee pain relegated me to wait on park benches, or in the car and miss hours of father-son time as my son explored the National Mall and museums. Early in 2025 I stumbled across Hypershell and thought I would give it a shot. I walked miles and miles and up and down stairs with greater assurance and confidence. I kept pace with my family! While not designed as a medical device, Hypershell can extend your walking, running, cycling, or hiking range by miles. Our partners in the E-Bike industry support Veterans keeping up with family and friends on and off road.

When the VA wants to give 800mg motrin, or opioid drugs, I found much better success with these mobility enhancers. I began to dream of thousands of veterans like me – not so injured that we need massive drugs or wheelchairs – but hurt-enough that just giving us a little boost can change our lives.
